Farewell to our dear friends and a beautiful old house

August 24, 2013

First of all, this house is gorgeous. It may not be everyone’s style, but the second I walked in, I felt like I was home. The owner’s decorating taste is what I want for myself (and she’s an artist, all of the art in here is either hers or her mother’s). I could spend hours in each room and be content. and inspired. The house is 150 years old. It’s not finished, the paint is chipping, there is always work, as most old houses require. But this old, lived in, not brand new and perfect feeling – I guess you call it character – is what I like. I think I had a dream about it later that night.

And our dear friends have packed up their entire earthly possessions into the back of their minivan to start a new journey out west. I’m so excited for where God will lead them. I know He will use them in Montana or wherever it may be. Our day spent at this friend’s house with our dear friends was so fun. I will always and always and always have a special bond and love for this family.

I tried to capture what I saw but my lens isn’t wide enough to get entire rooms.

And happy 2nd birthday Judah!

We love you guys!
