Recap of 2017 and changes for 2018

January 2, 2018

I’ve loved being a family photographer for the past several years. I’ve enjoyed learning and growing as I go. I’ve enjoyed going slowly and I’ve enjoyed most of all, meeting and having fun with new families and kids! I really do enjoy this very, very part time job. But, always, a “but”, (my favorite word)….things must change as our family has changed. We’ve added another child to our family and we’ve continued to add activities, primarily bagpipes and drums. I have three children in the Queen City Juvenile Pipes and Drums band and I just joined the Loch Norman Pipe Band. With these additions and the continued challenge of homeschooling and working with my husband’s coaching schedule and all of the instrument lessons, something must give. I am taking a break from shooting families for a one year. I’m going to focus on my family and their needs.

I am also excited to start taking more pictures with my camera (not iphone) of my own children and hopefully work on some photobooks for them to have in their hands. I’d like to see this website/blog continue but on a much more personal work level. So cheers to a great few years with all of you and cheers to a new beginning! Thank you to all of you for trusting me with your memories!

Here are some recent shots from great families in 2017.
