This was sooo much fun! My dear friend Maria has a pottery studio here in the greater Charlotte area. She and my sister (Hilary, who had a severe poison ivy on her body) and mom and other dear friend Darylee (did a raku and barrel firing.

I am not the potter and know very little about these processes. This was a two day venture involving Miracle Grow, cow manure, horse hair, lots of organic material and lots of fire!!!! It was soo much fun. The best part was the second day where we saw what happened in the barrel, toasted to the work and scrubbed and dremelled the gunk off.  Visit Maria’s website!
