So I had a breakthrough today!!!! Whoo hoo for learning things on my own in photography. I figured out that on a sunny day, when the sun is pretty high in the sky, early afternoon, or even noon; the best way to shoot a subject is for the subject to be backlit by the sun and the subject’s shadow is coming towards me. And when doing so, don’t shoot for the sun flare/hazy look at this time of day, the images just aren’t crisp. To me, the images look a lot better when the subjects head or side of face has some sun on it. See the following images and please forgive all of the pictures of my snot-dripping/dirty-faced kids…they are all I have to practice on all day. It was good to be outside! Wishing I could open up the roof on our house and let in light all day long (our house is horrible for daylight). It was so exciting to learn something today and have a breakthrough, these kind of things keep me going -in terms of a long day in the life of a stay-at-home-mom and in photography…..THIS IS FUN!
